    Our Timeline

    • 1952

      David Halsall Ltd

      David Halsall Ltd is established as a supplier of UK manufactured toys and fireworks.

    • 1968

      Graham Halsall

      Graham Halsall joins the company and the import of Far East manufactured items commences. A period of rapid growth begins.

    • 1985

      John Hutt

      John Hutt, HTI Principal, joins the company in the Sample department but quickly makes the leap to become a Sales Representative, then a Buyer and lands the role of commercial Director just a few years later.

    • 1989

      We’ve Moved!

      We moved to a new purpose-built premises located at Cornford Road in Blackpool. The office, warehouse, and showroom facility encompassed 11,000m² to accommodate the company’s successful growth.

    • 1993

      We Expanded!

      As Halsall continued to grow and we expanded the product range and warehousing operation, we relocated again to an expansive 30,000m² new site in Fleetwood.

    • 1996

      Hong Kong Showroom

      We kick-started a move into manufacturing by opening a permanent sales office and showroom in Hong Kong.

    • 2003

      Licensed Products

      Increased focus on licensed product leads to deals with big-name brands including Barbie, Spiderman, JCB and Silver Cross.

    • 2006

      Product Development & International Sales

      John Hutt together with Graham Halsall & Andrew Coplestone lead MBO of the company and set about refocusing the business strategy to cement the shift from importer to manufacturer, re-shaping itself as the leading specialist in specific categories. This includes the closure of the Stationery, Halloween and Christmas Decoration divisions and an increased focus on product development and international sales.

    • 2007

      Hong Kong Showroom

      We moved into our Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui showroom, a key showroom location for buyers from around the world to see all our latest ranges.

    • 2008

      Nuremberg Showroom

      We acquired our showroom in Nuremberg, Germany. This was a key step towards showcasing our products on an international stage.

    • 2010

      Rebrand

      The business is rebranded as HTI.

    • 2013

      Hong Kong Office

      We opened our new Hong Kong office, located in a state of the art development in the heart of Kwun Tong.

    • 2016

      Novelty Showroom HK

      We opened our fist dedicated Novelty Showroom in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong.

    • 2018

      Design Studio UK

      Our in-house design team move into the new, fully equipped design studio.

    • 2019

      New Hong Kong Showroom

      We opened a brand new showroom in TST East, Hong Kong, to house the Pocket Money and Bubbles ranges.

    Our Heritage

    Initially acting as an importer – sourcing products from China and selling them to wholesalers across the UK, our phenomenal expansion was kick-started by a move into manufacturing during the 1990s and the rest is history.

    Our business presence now stretches across 66 countries, driving sales in brands: Teamsterz, Evo, Baby Chic, Bubblz and Epic Fun, and in our categories: Roleplay and Pocket Money. A product portfolio that includes some of the world’s most recognisable brands, we are renowned for our experience, flexibility and efficiency in bringing new and original products from concept to creation.

    Our Offices

    Our head office, design studio, showroom and warehouse facility are based in Fleetwood, in the North West of England. The showroom is one of the largest commercial showrooms in Europe with over 2,000m² floor space dedicated to fully merchandised displays of our toy ranges.

    Our team has extensive experience gained across manufacturing, supply, retail and laboratory backgrounds. Regularly working closely with test houses, trade and retail organisations to ensure awareness and the ability to react quickly to changing legislation and customer requirements.
