Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Introduction
This statement is made on behalf of HTI Toys Limited (HTI) pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and comprises our slavery and human trafficking statement.
Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains include the manufacturing of children’s toys in factories across some of the Far East which are then imported/supplied to retail stores, along with some UK and EU manufacturing.
Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-Slavery policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business and in our supply chains.
Due Diligence Process for Slavery and Human Trafficking
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we have systems in place across our business and our Quality Assurance and Compliance team focus on building long standing relationships with our suppliers and conducting regular visits to factories to:
- Identify inappropriate employment practices
- Identify and assess any potential risk areas
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring
- Monitor any potential risk areas
- Protect whistleblowers
We also have strict Internal HR procedures to check the Rights to Work Law. This is regularly audited by independent 3rd Party audits.
We are committed to acting ethically, with integrity and to ensuring that we have effective systems and controls in place to mitigate the risk of modern slavery occurring in our operations and supply chains.
Supplier Adherence to Our Values
HTI has zero tolerance towards acts of modern slavery and human trafficking which are unlawful and a violation of fundamental human rights. We expect all those in our supply chain to comply with our values.
Training
We provide relevant training to ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain and our business.
This statement is made in pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes HTI’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the current financial year.
This statement has been approved by our Board of Directors, who will review and update it as necessary on an annual basis.
