We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Sambro International. The acquisition establishes HTI as the largest privately-owned toy company in the UK, with combined annual sales exceeding £120 million and a presence in over 70 international markets.

In our 70+ years, we have built a market-leading portfolio in key product categories by combining value with innovation. Renowned for our proprietary brands, such as Teamsterz and EVO, we  also develop early learning ranges for beloved brands like Peppa Pig, Bluey, and Paw Patrol. With headquarters and a state-of-the-art automated manufacturing facility here in Fleetwood, we operate globally, with multiple operations across mainland China, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and Germany, serving a wide network of retailers, wholesalers, and e-commerce platforms.

Sambro, based in Bury, Manchester, is a major player in the EU branded toy market, known for its creative ranges in soft toys, arts and crafts, and outdoor toys. Sambro has developed strong partnerships with some of the world’s biggest brands, including Spider-Man, Frozen, Peppa Pig, and Paw Patrol.

The acquisition of Sambro will deepen HTI’s footprint in key European markets and expand our already extensive product line with new categories, driving growth both in the UK and across its global customer base.

Both companies will continue operating from our existing UK locations, ensuring seamless service and operational continuity for partners and customers. Additionally, we are progressing with the construction of our new 250,000-square-foot global headquarters, which is expected to be completed by late 2025.

HTI’s Bubblz products are making a big step to help the environment with recyclable bubbles solution bottles, made of recycled plastic, and all made here in the UK.

The impact of manufacturing on the environment is of ever-increasing concern among consumers, with the younger generation driving the conversations. To mark a significant point in our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, the company invested in British manufacturing facilities for Bubblz products in 2020. With a significant chunk of a product’s carbon footprint coming in the form of transport, onshoring a bubbles factory in Lancashire was a hugely positive move in terms of sustainability. The move also ensured that the quality of the finished product, from the bubble solution to the bottles, is superior to our competitors.

From the beginning, our bubbles bottles have all been 100% recyclable and they are made from 100% recycled material. The water used in HTI’s bubble production is also cleaner thanks to the use of a state-of-the-art filtration system.

The combination of 100% recyclable products and bringing the bubbles factory to the UK, is the beginning of a long-term commitment for us to become a greener toy company. We are making these changes because it’s the right thing to do, and it’s a core value of ours moving forwards that we continue to reduce the impact on our environment.

Bubblz products provide the ultimate solution as the one stop shop for this all-year-round classic toy. The range of wands, machines, flurries, and mowers are all that’s needed to turn a home or garden into the ultimate bubble fun zone. The Bubblz brand also boasts licenses with three of the top pre-school TV shows: Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol and Hey Duggee.

The doors of the UK plant, which has been fully audited and certified, are open to anyone who would like to look around, any time they care to visit, and we are very keen for our retail partners to see the bubble production process for themselves.
